Oh, how I love television

Okay so, I come home from work tonight and walking into my house to find my parents watching some new TV show. I sit down and begin watching it and I'm instantly hooked on it.

The show you ask? Its called "The Cape"

Basically its a super hero story, but an awesome one at that.

The two hour season premiere was amazing, I couldn't look away. It was simply that amazing. Like "Heroes" except, you don't get lost in the story. Bad guy frames good cop in city full of bad cops. Good cop, assumed dead by bad guy, dawns a hood and cape that is no more then an optical illusion, and go's forth and kicks a lot of ass.

Simple right?

Well anyway, this show got me excited and action filled, so I watched an old episode of "The Green Hornet", and THIS got me excited for the new movie based on the same name that is coming out soon. (Or is already out, I don't pay attention.)

All this super hero talk got me even MORE excited for the fact that DC Universe Online was released on Tuesday, and I plan on diving, (head-first) into it, once I get payed.

All in all, I love TV (sometimes), I love Super Heroes, but most of all, I love the power of reading.

So yeah, Thats PRETTY much it.

You stay classy.

I hope you rot in hell, fast food chains.

It has been a long weekend, most of which I've spent working at my wonderfully (shitty) job at Wendy's. I hate it there so much. If I didn't need cash for my phone and various other monthly payments, I'd up and quit tomorrow.

But I do need money, so I will continue to complain about it. *sigh*

Oh well, this weekend was spent going to a Chinese restaurant I've never been to before, called Ling-Ling's and I have to say it was awesome! I really liked the food, and there was a ton of it. I then spent the rest of the night playing Xbox with Brandon, going to church, going to Taco Bell, and hating Block Buster just a little bit more.

All in all, not a bad weekend, just not super. Oh well, its January, can't really expect much good now can you? Ha ha, just kidding.

Weekends people, how was yours?

Its gonna' be the future soon.

I've thought long and hard on what I want to do as an adult, but I think I've finally found the one thing that will make me happy.

I want to be a Photojournalist for National Geographic.

That sounds like a long shot, I know, but after sitting down and compiling all of the thoughts in my head, its the one that stuck out the most.

I love discovering new things, meeting new people, and taking pictures. I also enjoy writing, so this will be fun for me.

I want to write stories about everything and anything. I don't even care if my stories win awards, I want to write about adventures I've had and have people listen. It's like being a modern day pirate, except instead of sailing the high seas, I'll be traveling the world, and I'll trade in my blunderbuss for a camera.

I'm really excited for this. This is simply an idea, that I plan on making a reality. Simply put: This is what I'm going to do, you can tell me how hard its going to be, and how much time its going to take to achieve this goal, put I don't care.

I will be a photojournalist.

Work, work, work...

I had a rather bland day at work today, but I always think about things while I'm there.

Two things came to mind: One being Elephantmen, one of the greatest pieces of science fiction I've ever read (besides Transmetropolitian of course.) And the second being people who smoke.

I can't really put into words how much I love Elephantmen. Its astounding, I didn't think I would be able to find something I loved as much as Warren Ellis's Transmetropolitian , but Elephantmen really did. It follows agency members "Hip" Flask and Ebony Hide as they uncover mystery's and try to escape their pasts as evil weapons for the MAPPO corporation. I'd highly recommend you go and pick this one up.

Okay, I know people have a right to smoke, (I don't) But I find it annoying as hell when I'm working the drivethru window, when some one drives through smoking a cigarette, and basically forcing me to inhale smoke from the cancer stick. I hate sounding like a dick, but this just bothers the hell out of me. I don't want second hand smoke, so why don't you guys do me a favor, and everyone else who doesn't smoke, and has a similar situation, please put your smoke out before you pull up to the window.

Here are some links you can follow for the Elephantmen website and where you can get Volume 1 of Elephantmen for pretty cheap.

Hello!

Hi there! I'm here, on this blog, to talk about interesting things. These can range from anything from my love for my dog and elephants, to me blabbing on about some graphic novel/comic I've read.

I hope you enjoy what I have to offer!
